Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and energetic Daycare Teacher to join our team! You will be responsible for encouraging children’s intellectual, psychological, and physical growth. We are seeking an experienced and energetic Daycare Teacher to join our team! You will be responsible for encouraging children’s intellectual, psychological, and physical growth. Responsibilities
- Plan games and activities that are developmentally appropriate
- Design a daily and weekly schedule
- Provide basic care and caregiving activities
- Evaluate children to ensure they are reaching developmental milestones
- Communicate with parents and update them on their children’s activities
Qualifications
- Possess a high school diploma, GED, or qualifying college education.
- Have completed 90 clock hours of approved early childhood training, 6 semester hours of equivalent coursework, or another MSDE-recognized qualifying credential.
- Have completed 9 hours of approved communication training or a qualifying college course.
- Have completed 3 hours of approved ADA training.
- Have completed or be eligible to complete required health and safety training within the applicable regulatory timeframe.
- Have at least one year of qualifying preschool experience, college education, or an approved combination.
- Meet all applicable background screening, health, and employment suitability requirements.
- Complete required annual professional development.
- Previous experience as a daycare teacher or childcare provider
- Strong understanding of child development
- Patient, kind, and nurturing
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
- First aid/CPR certified
Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
